Matthew Taylor

Matt is going to be one to watch in the future after some amazing appearances for Luton Town. Matt has scored 16 goals while being at Luton. He is a defender and thats a change for Pompey to sign a defender who can score lots of goals. So hopefully he will be a great member of the team. At 5.10 in height and 11.08 in weight Matty is not the biggest member of the Portsmouth team. He attracked big attention from Premiership clubs during the summer and last season but opted to come to Pompey. Pompey signed Matt for £400,000 after some trouble about the amount Pompey were offering (£100,000).  Matty Taylor has also been named as one of the top 3 left wing backs in the World by Pompey captain Paul Merson. Matt has been named in the England U21 team and Pompey manager Harry Redknapp thinks he should be playing for England National Team!
